Simple Mornings: Healthy In A Hurry

Why, Hello There.

Lets just be is the best thing on this planet! If you give me good food, I will eat it ALL! But there is one specific meal that rules over every other meal...breakfast! Just the fact of waking early in the morning and eating a big bowl of yogurt or oatmeal or even cereal just makes my mouth water with exhilaration! But the truth is, no one has time to make a huge glorious breakfast in the morning. Life happens and time just slips away leaving us hungry. So today, I wanted to share with you my go-to breakfasts that are packed with nutrition, full of flavor, and take a minimum of 5 minutes to make! Let's dig in! 


To start off my morning I will always grab some sort of fruit that is quick and easy to pop in my mouth. It could be strawberries, raspberries, half a grapefruit, a banana, or blueberries. Really any fruit that is fast to wash, cut, and eat is a go-to for me! But just make sure that fruit is not all you eat in the morning.

The Basics

When choosing something quick to eat, make sure it is substantial. Make sure that there is not a lot of sugar and other things that you can't pronounce. Stick to the basics like a piece of whole wheat toast, yogurt, fruit, and/or granola. Grab something substantial, quick, and enjoyable and go for it!


It is crucial to have some sort of protein in the morning. You can have an egg, a big scoop of some kind of nut butter or just a hand-full of nuts and raisins.  Anything that is quick and will give you the boost of energy you need to start your day with.

My Go-To #1: Peanut Butter and Banana Toast

This is pretty self explanatory. Just grab a piece of toast, smother it with peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew butter (the nut butter list is endless) and put sliced bananas on top. It gives you  the protein from the peanut butter, the good grains and carbohydrates from the toast and that sweet boost of potassium you need from the banana. It takes about 2 minutes to make and it will get you through the day!

My Go-To #2: Yogurt With Berries And Granola

Again...super self explanatory! Grab your yogurt, berries, and granola and BOOM! All in 1 minute you made a totally substantial, protein packed and delish bowl of goodness to get you through your day. 

My Go-To #3: Breakfast Pizza this is HEAVEN ON EARTH! It may look hard to make, but actually it only takes 5 minutes! You simply grab an avocado, slice tomatoes, spread it on some NAAN Bread and add an over easy egg on top! Right in front of you, you have a fully substantial, beyond delicious, and an over the top (packed with protein and good carbs) breakfast meal!
