Noble Savage Beauty and More!

Hey Friends!

I am so sorry for not posting in a while, but, you happened. School, tests, stomach flu, church, life. It happens. Anyways, today I wanted to share with you the amazing products handmade by my friend Cindy Izquierdo. She is an absolutely incredible lady who believes in eating, living, and being healthy. She started a business called Noble Savage and believe are going to want to check it out and read all about it! I did this blog on her so that you could see and read her process on making her signature 100% all natural, handmade deodorant. I asked her some questions that I think you all might find interesting...especially read questions #7 and #9! Her products are very resonable in price and made with 100% pure love. I know. I saw. I use her products everyday and I think you should too! Enjoy!

p.s her son is very adorable.

1. What inspired you to start Noble Savage?

"Actually my husband did! One day, he ran out of Old Spice and I said 'Here...let me try to make you something that might work better!' I am super sensitive to smells and Old Spice to me is just super smelly. My husband goes to the gym all the time so I was like if this doesn't work, he is going to go back to old spice and I cant let that happen, so he my husband inspired me."

2. Fun Fact: What do you like to do in your free time?

"Making these deodorants, spending time with my family, running, and going to the gym."

3. So did you come up with the recipe yourself?

"I did! Ya, I actually tried a couple different recipes where I found some I liked and some I didn't. It was a trial and error really. Eventually I found one that I really liked and it seemed to work the best. I found out that the less baking soda I used the more I liked it."

4. Fun Fact: Where do you work?

"I work a full time job at Legal Aid. It is a non-profit organization and we do the stability advocacy for social security appeals."

5. You make masks too! What about those!

"Well actually they are Armpit Masks...but you can use them on your face too. They're made with French Green Clay which is a great detox-er. You just need to add water and a drop or two of your favorite essential oil. Lavender is my favorite."

6. Fun Fact: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

"Somewhere that is 90 degrees all the time. Probably Chile' because it is warm and high no bugs!"

7. A lot of girls enjoy using brands that support all natural and handmade beauty products. What are your thoughts on that?

"Even though some of these types of brands say that they are 'all natural' and 'organic' and 'handmade' it is not always true. They use things like Blue #1 and Red #4 and all of those terrible artificial colors in their products. Even though they may say they use natural products it is all a lie! One time I watched a video of them making some of there products and yes they where doing it by hand but all of the things they were adding to it was horrible. What these companies do is target the 'natural ingredients' in their products which some of them are, but most of them aren't. I would just encourage girls to get in the habit of looking at the back of the labels and learn stay away from products that have ingredients you can't even pronounce. It will do more harm than help to your body and skin if you keep using products like these."

8. Fun Fact: If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?

9. D.I.Y?

"Doing D.I.Ys are so fun. There is nothing better than the satisfaction of testing out your own product. I would encourage girls to try and use organic, non g.m.o ingredients. I know that some of these ingredients can be expensive so I do most of my shopping online. Mountain Rose Herbs and Amazon are two of my favorite places to shop for quality organic ingredients for great prices."
